DIDN'T BURN MY HAIR

I'm African American (who is trasitioning to natural hair and has 3 inches of natural hair), and I have to use higher heat when I flat iron my hair. This flat iron doesn't burn my hair, it glides through without pulling or snagging my hair, and it's cute. :) great flat iron! Oh, and i live in humid Georgia. It rained 3 days this week. My hair is still straight. AND MY HAIR CURLS BACK UP WHEN I WASH IT! AMAZING!

This flat iron is simply amazing. After reading all the reviews I decided on this one, since it seemed to be well-liked by everyone. I can now say I am a proud Solia owner! I got the hot pink version and it is adorable. I also love the free mat for my dresser top...no more burn marks! This iron gets HOT...I burned my fingers and scalp a few times before getting the hang of it, but then again, I was used to a really cheap Conair, so I can't fault the iron for my wrongdoings. I was very impressed with how fast the plates heated up, and I like the option to change the heat setting. My hair is layered and past my shoulders currently, and is very damaged from chronic hair dying and heat damage. It is also pretty thick and has moderate curls/frizz. My hair was STICK STRAIGHT after straightening with the Solia, something my hair never does. It also is sooooooooo soft, smooth, and shiny! My other iron would just fry my hair, leaving a poofy-straight dry mess. I LOVE THIS FLAT IRON!!!!
Oh, and my before picture is from about a year ago, so my hair is now shorter and a different color, but the texture still gives you an accurate idea of the power of this iron.
It belongs with me :)

this is awesome on my hair! i have naturally thick, frizzy, curly hair and i just decided to straighten it since i havent straightened my hair in 1 year! i usually just touch it up with a curling iron and go! but i wanted to straighten my hair... :)

Seriously the BEST flat iron i have ever used. This thing is fantastic. I borrowed my friend's thinking, 'I doubt its as good as Chis are...,' but I have to say, it so amazing! It normally takes me 30 minutes to get my hair completely strait, and with the Solia Flat Iron it only took me 5 MINUTES. Next day, i went online and bought one for myself! Best thing ever!

I love my Solia Flat Iron! It heats up quickly and if your hair is healthy and fine to medium hair then you really don�t need to go the highest setting. My hair is naturally curly so going from curly to super straight is easily done with this Solia Flat Iron. I really love this new look. This flat iron does the trick and the reason I bought it was because of all the great reviews here at Folica.com. I�ve learned not to overdo the blow drying because then my hair will look very dry. Oh! And don�t forget to pick up a few great thermal heat products. Believe me when I say you don�t want to flat iron your hair without them. In the beginning, I didn�t use any but I came back to the reviews and started using Garnier Leave In Conditioner, Chi Silk Infusion and Fekkai Coiff Defense Pre-Style Thermal/UV Protectant before blow drying. A little goes a long way. After flat ironing for the flyaway hairs, I use Bed Head TIGI After Party (just a small drop). Plus!!! I�ve had it for 6 months and accidentally dropped it a couple of times and it still works like a champ. And if it ever doesn�t turn on, push the reset button and try again. Great product by Solia!

i just recieved my solia last week! i got the HOT PINK one and i LOVE it! ok i live in Florida and there is nothing but HUMIDITY!
i hate humidity...i dnt have curly hair but its just wavy enough that i have to do SOMETHING with it! i LOVE this product! my hair doesnt frizz or re-curl in the humidity...it has to get wet to curl back up!
and i use to put lots of product in my hair for it to be silky! after i straightened my hair with the solia i didnt put ANYTHING in it and it was silky smooth! this is the BEST straightener ive ever used! =)
i def recomend it! =)

First of all, I'd like to thank Folica because of super fast customer service. I bought my Solia July 28th (midnight) and got the package on July 30th. I was so excited and tried them as soon as I opened the package. I was amazed with the result to my hair - very soft, smooth, and shiny. I love my hair and no more frizzy, damage hair. I recently bought a flat iron at the mall for $100+tax last month but I must say the result to my hair is not the same with the Solia. Now that I have solia flat iron, I don't know what I'm going to do with the other iron (what a waste of money and wish that have never bought at the mall). I highly recommend this flat iron!! Folica has the best price ever and with 2 yrs limited warranty!!

This is by far the best flat iron I have ever owned.
It straightens your hair without leaving it frizzy, a challenge for most other flat irons. It glides smoothly and doesn't catch your hair. It also heats up very quickly.
After much research, reading reviews from this site, and talking to other people, I made the decision to purchase this flat iron.
I usually expect more out of the items I buy than they can deliver. This was what I expected and more.

i love this iron. I have very thick relaxed hair. this heats up in seconds and if used properly it does not break hair off. all you need is one hand and there is no need to squeeze. it is fast, gentle and very pretty. i have the black and blue one. i also have the free heat proof pouch which is excellent for when i travel because sometimes i dont have time to wait for the iron to cool off, so i just throw the iron in the pouch and it saves everything in my bag from melting. this is by far the best iron i have ever purchased and its worth every penny!!!!

I've had this for a few months now and I love it <3
I used to always spend around 30 min straightening my hair in the morning but this straightener cut down the time to around 10 min! I use it with my chi silk infusion and it makes my hair pin straight and super shiny! It doesnt even get frizzy in humid weather! :D plus the shipping was very fast!

So I bought my Solia around christmas so Iv had it for about 7 months now,I took advantage of it when the Iron was on sale (awesome price).The 1st few months that I bought it, it worked wonders. Before this iron I usto own these really cheap irons that horribly damaged my hair.I usto strighten my hair almost every 3 days, and after a while it got very damaged and the Solia wasnt working as well as it usto when I 1st bought it. I just recently got my haircut, and after my hair was restored the iron worked OKAY. So if you streighten as much as I do, then I would recommend a streight guard and using this heat tool with it.I have been wanting to try the CHI flat iron, but they say that this works just as well (and is cheaper)

I always buy high priced hair products, and none of them has been better than the Solia! I can flat iron my hair in minutes and it will even stay like that for up to two days without having to re-flat iron my hair. Sooooo convienent!! Well who knows it could be longer but lets just say I also love to shower. I even love how I can put the super hot solia in the heat proof pouch, Without worring that it would catch on fire. Sooooo convienent!! First I wash my hair. Then I put in about a dime size of matrix biolage smooth therapie into my wet hair and blow dry. When dry, I add another dime size of matrix biolage, (mostly at the tips of hair, dont want too much on scalp) and then use my solia to flat iron my hair. After I'm all done straightening, I add about a dime of Bed Head TIGI After Party to my hair, which makes it feel like silk!! This process takes like 15 minutes or less, and will last for about two days, or till you wash your hair again. Im always getting great complements on my hair, Love my Solia!!

I love this flat iron. So much so that I purchased a second one after my cat chewed through the cord on the first one I purchased. I have somewhat curly/frizzy hair and this iron works so well making my hair smooth, shiny and STRAIGHT. I get compliments on my hair all the time. I would recommend this flat iron to anyone.

This is my second Solia in 5 years! I ONLY use this one. Even though this straightener has a 2 year warranty it definitely doesn't need it. My hair always feels silky after using it and I LOVE that it doesn't snag hairs. Fantastic straightener and I don't think I would ever switch.

I had a Vidal Sassoon flat iron for 4 years that I bought at Target for $40 and it did a very good job, almost the same as this one, the only difference is that it was too heavy. This Solia flat iron is very light and does a very good job but after a while my hair gets freeze any way.

I have had bad luck when it comes to straightening my hair. I am bi-racial with very multitextural hair. It is wavy, curly, kinky, frizzy, and course! So to find a flat iron that works through all of that was a major task. The best feature has to be the movable plates, because my hair tends to be thicker in certain areas. If I could add one feature, it would be a swivle cord. I like to flip the ends, and the cord ends up all tangled at the end. Bottom line though, I love this flat iron!

I have extremely thick, very very curly shoulder length hair and it usually takes me over two hours to straighten it-- it took only an hour with the Solia, with minimal hair damage. I highly recommend it.

I'm using this iron for a couple months and I like it. Can't realy say if it is iron itself or a combo of the iron and all products I put on my hair. It is comfortable to use, has a nice handle and different temperature settings. Overall, good flat iron.

i love that fact that when you straighten you hair none of it gets pulled or caught up by the iron causing breakage. it leaves you hair smooth and shiny. the temperature settings are great and accommodate every style and hair type. i like the iron but i don't feel like it works as good as the chi iron on my hair. i have long course African American, relaxed and color treated hair.

but sometimes when i am straightening my hair when i am pressing it it makes weird plastic sounds this due to the fact that its supposed to be lightweight and its inside is empty :P but its great and i love it although i live in Canada and it took me 2 weeks to get it ! OH GOD anyways yeah its good i recommended buying it .. I had a CONAIR NANO SILVER straightener be4 and it was not good as this because i had to fill it with water each time and it sometimes drops water and makes hair humid and i sweat a lot :P this straightener is amazing ... I GOT THE HOT PINK COLOR AND ITS HOT !
I RECOMMEND EVERYONE TO BUY IT ! ITS THE BEST !!!!
